Human Geo 11/2/17

Today in Human Geography we talked about Total Fertility Rate which is the total number of kids born per woman in the world or in a country. For a population to remain the same, a country must have a TFR of 2.1 and if it is higher than 2.1, then the population will rise but if it is lower than 2.1, the population of the country will decrease. The world TFR is at 2.42 which means that it is rising, the US has a TFR of 2.01 but because of immigration our population is still rising, Nigeria has a TFR of 6.89 because it is a developing country and grows very quickly, and Japan has a TFR of 1.4 because they are a developed nation but they do not have immigrants and most of their population is very ancient Japanese people and leaders.
